Two thousand years of history between Art and Culture

A journey to discover the province of Salerno should start from Paestum, a city that, more than 2500 years after its foundation, has kept its charm intact. Knowing Paestum, the ancient Poseidonia, is embarking on a fascinating journey through history and art, immersing yourself in the evocative atmosphere of ancient Greek and Roman culture.

A journey that begins at the Paestum Archaeological Area admiring the grandeur of the three Doric temples, probably attributed to the most revered deities Hera, Athena and Poseidon, located in the sacred areas in the centre of the ancient city: splendid examples of Greek architecture. Opposite the most important archaeological excavations in the province of Salerno is the National Archaeological Museum of Paestum, where numerous artefacts found in the urban area and its immediate surroundings are exhibited.

And in the Archaeological Area of Paestum, during the months of July and August, it is possible to attend numerous events and shows. The archaeological excavations of Paestum are only 20 km away from our hotel. You can reach them by car or by booking the our shuttle service, which will allow you to relax and fully enjoy the visit.
